Hi all from a newbie. I'm trying to get an earlier ver of Movie Manager as the latest ver7 is far too complex for my poor brain.A year or two ago I had a fully functioning record of my 2000+ movie titles which unfortunately I lost-along with the prog at the time about ver4 or 5 if memory serves and would like to get that earlier one back.Anybody got an old copy they've finished with or know a source where I can purchase? I've tried the link on the Download page but the link to "Old Releases" doesn't function. Anybody?

I know the feeling, I as well stayed for a long time at version 6 because I thought that version 7 would be difficult and hard to learn. Then one day I couldn't import a tv-show which wasn't a problem with version 7. So, my suggestion would be to give version 7 a try, it is not so difficult to learn after all, and it has nice features which were not in previous versions. And what is more, I don't think that it is fair to assume that old versions are being supported indefinitely. |

I have already been down the Ver 7 route and I don't like it.Too many "bells and whistles"for me to get my head around. My maxim is ...KEEP IT SIMPLE.Don't get me wrong as I can accept that others may need or want the higher functions but with the earlier versions it really was intuitive and I was able to transfer my spreadsheet list into the earlier ver so easily and SIMPLY. I don't expect products to be held in stock ad nauseum but I only asked(not demanded) if anybody knew of a source that may hold a copy, and let's face it the prog,in whatever version .is an absolute gem,so is well worth keeping. |

Hello Guys,
The only release available is the 6, you can download it from the website...
I have start to work at release 8, it will be really more simple and "Tablet" oriented... I hope it will be more easy to use for newbie but with the tons of features that everybody likes during these years...

I think you won't get lucky with the old version as the new scripts don't work anymore with AND the old scripts don't work on the actual sites... |

Not quite correct as it is working as much as I want it to(even in Win7) as all I want is basic info and not a complete bibliography.I can fulfill my requirements with a spreadsheet but that wouldn't be so attractive. |
