This is only a test release!

As it's still not possible to restore the Advanced Script Options after every update I have written another small utility that can do it: http://www.mediafire.com/?ld64bau11djf7je

Please test it and reply if all works correct. (As always keep in mind to have a backup of the working scripts!)

You only have two buttons: one for the backup and one for the restore.
You can save the settings that are set in the script itself. The options which fields shall be imported are not saved yet as I haven't checked if the UserConfig for these will be deleted after an update, too. But that's no problem to realize.

As special feature you can pass a parameter to the program ("backup" or "restore") to call the desired function and close the prog directly after.

*EDIT*
Forgotten: Copy the exe into the same folder as XMM is.

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.

I can't start that program. I see only a short flash of a small window and that's it. Most of the time it doesn't even runs long enough to see it in the Task Manager.

Strange, maybe I have compiled it under Win7??? Please copy it into the XMM folder if it works there. If not I will recompile it under XP first...

Good. But I have to look deeper as it seems that the compilation under XP and Win7 runs a little bit different...

Found a Bug:

If in the Scripts\UserConfig is a .txt File of an Script that doesn't exists (anymore) in the Scripts Folder I get an Error Message and it stops the Backup Process.

The bugfix...

Would be nice if someone could test if the import fields are resetted after an update, too.
Beside that there is now only missing an icon for the tool.
Btw. thanks to Prinz for his quick reply!

Sorry, I have forgotten to write the link for the official release: http://www.mediafire.com/file/kpb2go0syzt1rky/ASO.rar

This is the correct version as the test wrote back the scripts as [scriptname]_test.

Just copy the tool into the program folder of XMM.
When you start it without any parameter you will see the GUI.
Executing with parameters are now possible, too. In this case you have to pass "backup" or "restore" to the call. You will only see a confirmation after the job is done. Optional you can add a second paramter "silent" and you won't see the confirmation anymore.
The optional parameters are espicially for Ale to execute the tool out of XMM before and after the script updates. (Until he finds time to include the function into XMM itself!)

So far for those who are not familiar with calling parameters:
After copying ASO.exe into XMM's folder make a right click on it and select Send To - Desktop (Create a link).
In next step go to the properties of this link. Chose the tab that shows the link and add after the content of the target: " backup" or " backup silent" without the quotes and confirm the modification.
For the restore you have to create a second link on your desktop.
Without the modification you will see the GUI. I think that's for the most users are perfectly good.

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.
