If you have an existing episode and you want to use the "Read Files" function in order to update the Media information, you get two problems in the Files tab. First, the Movie File in the top position moves down into the second position. Second, it takes the Length of the existing Episode and adds it to the re-read video length. So a 44 min utes episodes turns into a 88 minute episode after the re-read of the files codec information.
In case this helps any, I was using the Read Files function because I had re-ripped the episode to a file with a greater bitrate and resolution size. All the information in the Movie File box was the same (Name, Directory, ...)
Thanks, Norm |

Also, the way it calculates the file size is completely unreal. I've tried every possible way to figure out where it gets the numbers but no luck. A 857mb file will come back after the re-read of the file with a something like 11,324mb. Strange.

Hello,
If you need to just Re-Read the codec you have to use the function in the main toolbar.
Select the Episodes you want read and then click on this function.
If you use the Read-Files in the edit window XMM think that you want add another file to the episode.
