The category list in edit mode is not working / is empty.

The list itself contains values.
If I use 
Tools > Edit Lists > Category
the values are shown. So my guess is the edit window dropdown doesn't get populated.

Reported for: 8.0.2.1 and previous versions

PS: I believe it was mentioned before but since it still annoys me I hereby honour it with a new topic.

Edit: added "Fixed" to Subject
