XMM 8.0.2.3 seems to have problems saving data, after exiting the program. For example I add new movies and/or series, I update them from the Internet and when I exit and I re-open XMM Those movies/series are missing. It's like I haven't added them at all. It doesnt seem to save my changes/additions to the database. Another example is, say I want to do a mass change to a field in 40 movies. I do the change but when I exit and reopen XMM, it's like I never did it, which is very frustrating..
Thanks in advance,
Alex |

Idd, sorry I didn't notice.
However I'm not using Win8, I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64. My db is converted from XMM7 and resides in the default XMM8 directory. |

No problem about the double topic ;) Try to copy the whole database to another folder. Maybe it's because of missing rights to write to that folder. Use as example your documents folder. |

Hello,
It happened again. I moved the database in my documents folder and I started adding movies. After every movie I was adding, I was exiting and reopening XMM. While the sixth movie's import was completed and saved, it didn't save the info I manually entered in 3 fields (subtitles, audio and Custom2).
Everyone has full permissions to that folder, the same was the case with the previous folder the db was in.
Thanks |

But the new movies are now saved - except for those 3 fields? |

Yes, the movie's imported fields were saved except from those 3 I entered manually. But it seems kind of random to me, because sometimes it's just fields, some times whole movies or even series that don't get saved. |

UPDATE:
Ok, so I mass import 40 movies from a txt file. When the import finishes, I use the 'edit multiple' feature to fill the subtitle and custom2 fields. I exit XMM8 and reopen it. The movies and the imported info are there but the two fields are blank. So I reenter the information in the two fields using 'edit multiple' and I exit XMM8. When I reopened it, the info in the two fields was saved but the imported info from the internet was lost and all there is are the 40 movie titles with no internet imported info except for the two fields I manually filled. The weird thing is that the magic script started by itself to import the information from the beginning.

Good morning
It doesn't matter if I use 'edit multiple' or not, sometimes XMM8 just won't save the changes I make. Those changes could be information I enter by hand in the fields, automatically imported information (using the scripts), or even whole movie or series entries.
The whole thing seems random. Sometimes the info is saved, sometimes it's not. And now I'm forced to exit XMM and reopen it each time I make changes to my db, to see if the data is saved :( |

Have you already tried to save the changes manually by using "Save Database" out of the menu? |

Ok about that (and I feel a bit silly for asking), where exactly is the 'save database' option in XMM8? I remember it existing in the previous versions but I can't find it since I upgraded to XMM8. All I see under the 'Files' menu is 'new' 'open' and 'reload'. |

Oops, you're right! XMM8 doesn't have that function anymore

In version 8.0.2.5, the information after updating fields manually, is saved. However if I add a new movie, import the info with the script and add some info manually, when I exit the program either having saved the database first or by selecting 'close', the information I have manually entered is gone. The movie entry and the automatically imported information are saved. This happens every time. |

Adding and updating movies in a new database seems to work ok. Could it be a database problem? |
