Hi Alessio,
Thanx for the director links in the latest version.
I hope in the future you can make other crew members linkable as well, its a great feature.
I have to ask though if its possible to take the imdb name for the directors as a unique id (the function in the imdb script that states take unique name for producers director is not working?), so when we click the directors name, all movies directed by (or appear as actor, producer) appear, because it seems like its like a search function at the moment.
Explain with an example
Movie: 100 girls
director: Michael Davis
when i click his name it shows
Actor information Michael Cory Davis
Movies in database
Alien Siege
But that information is for the actor Michael Cory Davis (a different person)
Second example
Movie 100 mile rule
Director Brent Huff
Click and it show Brent Huff
Movies in database
Beautiful
IT IS the same person, and it happens to play as an actor in that movie (the movie "100 mile rule" though does not appear, because he is the director there)
Third example
Director Steven Spielberg
Movie Indiana Jones and the last crusade
Click director
Movies in database
Jurasic Park 2
it shows a movie that spielberg is an actor, but it doesn show the other movies in database which he directed.(although now that i tested with another director, which is ONLY director and NOT an actor, it shows movies directed by him!)
So as far as i understand, best way to work is to take unique names for directors and other stuff, as with actors and maybe make a different database at least for the most important movie crew as with actors, maybe for directors producers and musicians
A simple search function could be tricky in case the director name and actor name is exactly the same, but a different person.
I know i maybe ask too much, sorry for that, i just love this program!

Hi MTS,
It's not easy do what you asking for.
At this time, when you click on actor, I simply make a search in the "starring" field to show all movies of this actor. I can search also in the director field.
I cannot use directly the IMDB ID, because many people use other script, so they haven't the IMDB in their databases.
I will make some tests...

Another bug i found in this subject.
Movies with 2 or more directors, the link take both names as one.
It does not seperate the names.
Example movie : There's something about mary
So i think thats the last problem along with the first one in my first post
Movie: 100 girls

And a request. Can it somehow be possible when click an actor or director, the movies starring as an actor and the movies directed by him, appear in seperate sections?

-Movies in database (as an actor)

Thing with 2 directors appear as one single link is really annoying.
