Posted - 10 Nov 2012 : 16:44:05 XMM 8.0.2.3 seems to have problems saving data, after exiting the program. For example I add new movies and/or series, I update them from the Internet and when I exit and I re-open XMM Those movies/series are missing. It's like I haven't added them at all. It doesnt seem to save my changes/additions to the database. Another example is, say I want to do a mass change to a field in 40 movies. I do the change but when I exit and reopen XMM, it's like I never did it, which is very frustrating..
Thanks in advance,
Alex |

Posted - 28 Nov 2012 : 19:30:22 I did some checking and for some reason in grid view the Scrips Field is filled with sysmbols and not which scrip was used which is displayed correctly when looking at an individual movie. Deleting that field from view seems to have taken care of the crash so far. |

Posted - 28 Nov 2012 : 19:11:46 The crash started happening after an update to 8.0.2.5 which for some reason changed my display to nothing but the grid view with every column available showing. This change only happened in win 8 but I skipped that update on my win 7 machine. I may just need to kill some of the columns since I don't need them displayed but haven't had a chance to it yet. I am re installing 7.2.3.6 and hope my backup still works until I figure out what is happening. |

Posted - 28 Nov 2012 : 18:24:35 Hello,
About the crash if you scroll up/down... please can you write me what columns have you in the Grid?
Thank you! |

Posted - 28 Nov 2012 : 18:20:58 Just to add to the topic I also can not save data and I am up to version 8.0.2.8. Everything seems to work but after exiting program I find that when I reload all the data is missing 90% of the time. The other 10% some or all of the data is there. This occurs in Win 7 Ultimate X64 and Win8 Pro X64 and includes if I do a save or not from the files list. I have tried with default storage locations and a cloud location with full access to all locations. Also, new issue popped up on the Win 8 configuration of crashing if I scroll up and down my list of movies which is not occuring in my Win7 setup. |

Posted - 20 Nov 2012 : 06:35:58 OK I've provided you with the dropbox link. Looking forward to your answer :) Cheers. |

Posted - 19 Nov 2012 : 14:57:03 I recommend dropbox.com to you. But the easiest way is streamfile.com |

Posted - 18 Nov 2012 : 06:39:44 I start to think this too... because really, I have make all tests possible but nothing... everything get saved here, always.
I will keep trying... maybe can you send your MDB file to me?

Posted - 17 Nov 2012 : 18:52:26 Adding and updating movies in a new database seems to work ok. Could it be a database problem? |

Posted - 16 Nov 2012 : 09:54:05 In version 8.0.2.5, the information after updating fields manually, is saved. However if I add a new movie, import the info with the script and add some info manually, when I exit the program either having saved the database first or by selecting 'close', the information I have manually entered is gone. The movie entry and the automatically imported information are saved. This happens every time. |

Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 17:03:31 Ok about that (and I feel a bit silly for asking), where exactly is the 'save database' option in XMM8? I remember it existing in the previous versions but I can't find it since I upgraded to XMM8. All I see under the 'Files' menu is 'new' 'open' and 'reload'. |

Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 11:27:05 Have you already tried to save the changes manually by using "Save Database" out of the menu? |

Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 08:29:36 Good morning
It doesn't matter if I use 'edit multiple' or not, sometimes XMM8 just won't save the changes I make. Those changes could be information I enter by hand in the fields, automatically imported information (using the scripts), or even whole movie or series entries.
The whole thing seems random. Sometimes the info is saved, sometimes it's not. And now I'm forced to exit XMM and reopen it each time I make changes to my db, to see if the data is saved :( |
