Posted - 30 Oct 2010 : 14:23:06 It would be very nice, if you could add an option to remove movies from the database if the corresponding file was deleted on the harddrive.
If you start a file scan to add new movies to the database, it would be great if there is an option to show if a file was deleted (or moved) and give the user the possibility to remove (or update the path information of) these movies from the database.
Thank you very much! |

you can turn off the File Monitor, it will not scan your Hard Disk when XMM start. Do you want this?

Posted - 08 Jan 2011 : 09:15:21 Hi, Alessio! Happy New Year! This feature 'remove movies from the database if the corresponding file was deleted on the harddrive' maybe is great for someone, but it's not great for me. I have a really huge database with lot a titles inside. I add the movies when they are still on the hard drive and after some period i burn them do dvds and remove from HDD. So on every start XMM start scanning for those movies which slow down significally startup. I don't want that! It's really boring! So, my suggestion to you is to add this feature as checkbox in the options and every user to decide if want to use it! Thank you. |
