I've got this error just once with 8.0.4.3 (inofficial update) but could not reproduce it. That's why I'd like to ask if it's a reoccuring issue for you. |

This occurs EVERY time I try to load EMM8. I have uninstalled it completely and even uninstalled it as administrator after a reinstall and manually deleted all files and folders related to it...I did a reinstall of DotNet and have doe a repair of it. I have submitted crash logs to Ale and currently have isolated it to perhaps a problem with the database as at one time 22 of the entries showed an incorrect reference for Internet ID and I suspected that has caused some of the issues. I have cleared those data fields but can't keep it running long enough to populate again...FWIW, you can tell when it is going to crash as you loose scroll bars etc. I can delete the contents of the layout directory and the temp directory and then after waiting for 3 minutes it will finally load, and then I can try to fix another entry before it crashes. Kind of frustrating actually :-( |

Oh yeah, the first time you delete the layout etc, it will load but not all columns are available (like title...and Internet ID) so you have to close it down again, delete all the files a second time and then restart it again. Then you have a chance to try to correct the known errors in the database. got 4 done this time before it crashed! |

Going to rescan all 27 drives and use version 7 instead I guess, too bad, Version 8 looked good, Maybe it will be usable later on |

Never tried it with the InternetID column not loaded as that contained errors that I had to fix :-( I have now recreated the database in version 7 and it appears to be working fine, I think I will stay using it though. It took about a week to recreate and re-update all 5000 movies and 100,000 actors so I will just continue to work with it. Once I have it completely populated and correct I may try to bring it into version 8 to test as I imagine you will be focusing on it. Version 7 seems a lot more stable and I suspect that it was that column or the fact that I changed all the akas links to www to match the other entries?
