I don't know if that is already possible:
I have added a TV Show with all seasons to my database. Can I assign post hoc all episode files from hd in a bunch to the episode's data?
So not adding from device scanner but assigning from device scanner.
I know that I can assign it to them one by one - but that would be a real pain.

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.

Well, as nobody seems to know that I have tested it right now.

1. Add the show to your database and grab all info.
2. Rename the single files on hd to fit the name convention of the device scanner (as example: Banshee - S01E01 - Der neue Sheriff.avi). By that way I can recommend the freeware "FileBot" as renaming tool!
3. Open this show in the editor of XMM.
4. Click "Read File".

All the episode files are now assigned to the proper episode in the database.

Sorry for late reply JDommi,

Yes, this works in both ways... I mean that you can also scan your HD first in search for Episodes, and then import from Internet, XMM will show you the episodes you already have and will be more easy to upload only that one.

Ale
