Hi guys,
I have decided to put online the latest release alpha 10, so you can make test with the new EXE.
The changes:
Release 5.0.1.0 (alpha 10) (17 Mar 2006)

->Now when you Edit a Movie the "Grid Refresh" in main window is more quick
->The Fields Seen and Loans now is displayed with checkboxes in Grid
->New Config Option for automatically resize Grid Columns
->Changed the Movie Main Window Visualization (Search tab more big)
->Now when you import an OLD database the Movie Length is imported correctly
->Added Advanced PopUp window (you can disable it in Tools menu)
->Added Media Combobox also in TV Series
->Added FILMUP.IT Script (Italian)
->Fixed a bug in Print Collection
->Fixed a bug in Grid fields manager
->Fixed a bug in MovieCards creation |

Thank you Alessio. I have just downloaded it and I will try it.
Just a question, for TV series, will you add more information for episod as for the movies (codec, audio, etc...) to store all information about the video of the episod ?

EMM will be great ....
i´ve some things:
1. the popup is a great idea (will there be a possibility to customize it?)
a) if the popup is opened you can´t delete movies usind the DELETE key. you also can´t use the the arrow keys
b) would it be possible to open the popup not directly under the pointer?
2. is it possible to check the seen checbox directly in the grid?

Hi Alessio,
I'm really impressed. It looks and works great. :)
I have two small problem with the new beta:
1. I have imported my old emm 4.8 db into 5.0.
The media icon isn't displayed correct in the grid. All movies have the divx icon.
2. I don't want the MovieID in the grid but it's not in the fields manager.

Hi Cyrille,
Yes, I will add also these fields (Are already in the database), but I need more time. I have in mind to make a function for read informations from all episodes of a TV Series.

a) Yes, it's a problem. The only way is to leave the mouse from Grid, and the Popup window will not be loaded. I have think to this window only yesterday, so it's really "primitive" and I must develop it much.
b)Yes, can be done, but where?
2. I have in mind to make all fields editable, but I need to work on this.

1. I have fix this stupid bug one minute after I have put XMM alpha 10 online, sorry.
2. At this time is not possible remove the MovieID, but I will try.

hi,
i think a little bit to the right so you could do a leftclick on a dataset directly ...
some things again:
1. the changes in the quick edit are nor visible if i don´t refresh the whole list havin the quick edit opened. perhaps the changes here should also be refreshed automatically (but only the dataset changes) [Fixed (alpha 11)]
2. could you give us the imdb rating as 7.4 and not 7,4 (the javascript rating views work only wit ".")[I can change it when exported to MovieCards (alpha 11)]

I have try it and seem to work correctly.
I have select some movies and after in menu "tools" -> "Multiple changes at once..." etc...

hi,
i try to do this through the right click on the movies after i selected multiple of them. i find the possiblity to open the multiple changes window with the right click great .. but changin status through this window does not work ...[Fixed in Alpha 11]

Hi Alesio.
In movies import from internet i cant find 2 options that were present in previous versions.
- Take the first page found and go on
- Dont care about direct page not found and continue (which is very useful as a start cause it takes all movies with direct page in imdb without asking for confirmation)
[Added in Alpha 11]
Maybe they are somewhere around, but couldnt found them. Any help? |

Couple more things:
1.When i switch to batch import, i cant see the "never updated from the web" movies. [I have make a little label that explain what to do (alpha 11)]
2.When importing from txt file, i copy from txt and paste in xmm ~3000 titles. Not all of them pasted. (not that important though, just mentioning)
3.When pressing for random movie several times, or pressing a letter in the grid, a new movie highlighted, but also the previous one stays highlighted.[Fixed in Alpha 11]
4.In my movies tab, i resize the movie card window, but if i press the my movies tab again, the window resize itself again to default size.[Fixed in Alpha 11]
5.I cant deselect the MovieID field, also "automaticaly resize columns" option makes movieID column too wide.[Fixed in Alpha 11, but this field cannot be deleted at this time]

Please be sure you have already import directlinks, because if you do not import directlinks first you cannot see any movies in this batch window.
I have check and seem all OK.

One more thing:
I have used the function "clear Covers not linked to a Movie".
After cleaning the label "Covers before cleaning" shows 178 and the label "Covers after cleaning" shows 181.

Hi Alessio,
I found some little bugs in the alpha 10 :
1. when we switch to horizontal scheme, we don't have the fields button to setup the grid (open fields manager, restore default field, auto. resize column) [I have delete it for save space (like CortexWave Suggest). In alpha 11 I have add these functions in Right-click of a movie]
2. when I import movie from cd/dvd, media icon don't show in the grid. I must edit movie, choose divx, xvid or another media listbox and after click on the media icon in the grid to show the icon... [Now the Grid is refreshed when you add movies from CD/DVD]
3. it would be great if we can activate/desactivate the popup when we are on a movie in the grid
4. when I use the "edit multiple movies", I don't know how but my first movie has been erase with all data of another movie...[There is a bug (I have fix it in alpha 11)]
5. always with the "edit multiple movie" features, after use one time the features, the previous data has not been deleted : so if have changed genre, in the field, there is the previous genre so I think it will be better to erase all the fields of the windows when we use another time the feature (I hope you understand what I want to say) [Done in alpha 11]

i have some suggestions and perhaps bugs for you ;)
1. if i try to change the cover (i have 2 for the movie) in the EDITWINDOW (using the arrow buttons above the cover) and then save/exit the chosen cover is not displayed in the moviecard [The arrows button are only for see covers, not for change the cover's order]
2. my grid is sorted by CATALOGNO. after adding a new movie and then exiting the EDIT window EMM does not jump to the added movie.[Fixed in Alpha 11]
3. all of the EMM import windows, edit window, the popup open as a new window in the taskbar .. would it be possible to change this ....?
[Yes, can be possible (I mean hide from Taskbar). I don't know if do this or not]
4. sometimes i get something like that after an import of information: (Traffic with the OFDB script)

5. did you take a look at the coloured rows? (WANTED MOVIE / LOANED MOVIE .........) or perhaps coloured, bold fonts for status or other things?
6. perhaps we could have an information in the status bar how many movies are selected? like "Movies in Grid: 231" [Done in Alpha 11]
7. at the moment the date is displayed like this: 20060318. is it also possible to have more date-formats we can choose? 18.03.2006 ...
8. would it be possible to customize the toolbar? i would like to put the LOAN manager on it or some other things [It's not possible now, I will try to do it.]
9. the left panel could also contain tool like loan manager / history / Statistics / ..... (i have to think about it ... perhaps i have better ideas ..
10. in the multiple changes manager you can´t set SEEN [Seen (like marked) can be set directly in Main window, this is why you haven't in Multiple Edit Window]
