Ciao a tutti.

Ciao,

Maybe I can help, but Goggle translation is not understandable...

Hello Jdommi,
it's a quite simple issue: in the menu "Supporto" when you open the main page of the sigle movie, i.e. where you can find "VHS" "AVC" "BLU-RAY" etc. well right there, among that various kinds of "Supporti", I have now also 5 titles of the movies in my database!
Also when I open the "Media" menu (in "Vista ad Albero") I find among the others folders (i. e. "VHS" "AVC" "BLU-RAY" etc.) 5 folders with the titles of the same films.
Very strange bug, also because it seems impossible to manually add new "Supporto" items to the menu!
Thanx

I didn't have recognized that before.
Menu "Supporto" = Mediatype? And what folders?
Have a look at the database directly with Access and check if the related table contains those wrong entries, please.
When they are not included then it seems to be a wrong input of the used script. Otherwise I don't have any explanation at the moment.
Except of a corrupted database. To be on the save side do a Compact & Repair with XMM 32-bit or when you are using the 64-bit release only with Access itself.

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.

Every "Supporto" (Blue-Ray, Vhs etc.) of the "Supporto" menu in the main page of the movies, has a relative subfolder in the folder "Media" of the "Vista ad albero"(that it is under feature Genre/Subgenre).
(Unfortunately I can't know the names used in the english language version of XMM! If I could switch to the english version I could be more precise!)
Anyway In both "Supporto" menu and "Media" subfolder (with the same names:Blue-ray, VHS etc.) I find 5 items named with the same 5 movie's titles of my database (that is pretty logic).
Sorry I don't know how to use Access, and after all this bug does'nt seem to affect the correct operation of XMM, so I should prefere not to do any operation at risk.
Thanx!

Ok thanx! Then...

1.
From "Main" > "Treeview" > Movies (right click on a movie title) > "Edit" > from "Add/Edit" movie first page > open "Media" drop down menu: among AVC, AVC1, Blue-ray etc. I find 5 lines with the titles of 5 film in my movie's database (for instance "Marnie")

2.
From "Treeview" box items > open "Media" folder (between "Genre/Subgenre" and "Country" if activated) > among the subfolders AVC, AVC1, Blue-ray etc. I find 5 subfolders with the titles of 5 film in my movie's database (for instance "Marnie")

Now there is the Aha!-effect

When you add a new value to the MediaType it will automatically be added to this list. The only or one of the really few lists this is implemented. So when adding wrongly the title to the media types it will stay forever. That can happen by importing with a script, too.
Therefor the TreeView items contain this subitem, too, as there is no validation if Marnie is a real mediatype.

You can edit this list by:
Strumenti -> Edita Liste -> Supporto

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.

Thanx!
I did'nt know this feature! So certainly it was a script (probably an old version of a script, as I have used many) that imported the wrong data in this list.
The erasing procedure from the list is not very intuitive but it works!

Strumenti -> Edita Liste -> Supporto
