I am running 5.3.9.0 and when I try to delete a movie from my database, I am asked to verify the deletion and then asked if I want to delete all covers. I answer Yes and Yes and the file is "supposed" to be deleted. The file IS NOT deleted and remains in my database, including the covers.

Are you logged into Windows as Administrator? If you're not, you should be able to use the "Run As..." option by going to XMM via the Start menu --> Programs --> and then right click the link to XMM and choose "Run As..." from the menu. You can choose the Administrator account from there. The operating system may be preventing you from deleting data using a limited account in that respect.
I can delete files using the Admin account by the way. |

Yes, I AM the administrator. When I try to delete unwanted entries, all seems to go according to plan (all the right questions are asked and answered), however, in the end the file is not deleted......

The data will remain visible after you confirm deletion, but if you click the "Refresh" icon, it should disappear.

I found out how to make the files delete as planned. The movies cannot be showing in "thumbnail" view. If "thumbnail" view is chosen, XMM will seem to delete the file but then not do it. If it is not in "thumbnail" view, the files delete.

That's a useful tip.

I have fix in next release 5.4.1.0, it's not possible anymore delete movies when you view Thumbnails.
