Hi, I've been using emm for the last year or two and have been very pleased with the database management and scraping functions. I have not, however, found the UI to be suited for browsing the collection to pick something to watch.

I just discovered the My Little NMT export and see it as a promising UI browsing option. I was wondering if you could take a couple small requests for it though?

<edited out requests... just a single request left in followup post>

Anyway, thanks for all the great work, and I don't mean to sound like a complainer.... just looking for the last part of the puzzle - being able to casually browse the database that EMM manages so well.

I was able to figure out ways to do everything I had previously requested, except for one thing:

Can you provide a variable _PREVNAVIGATIONLAST_ (or similar) to link to the last page of the previous navigation subgroup?

This is to allow me to page through the whole collection using just the ">>" or "<<" buttons. I can get it to work going forward using a simple js function in the MovieHead.htm template because I know when I'm at the last page in a subcategory.

The Problem is that I can't go backwards because when I get to subpage 0, I don't know the last page of the previous subcategory to jump to. That variable could tell me!

Thanks ternot,

I really like the results and flexibility of the export.

I have found that the actors are not working though. On the single movie page, it lists the actors names, but only 1 actor in my whole collection (500 movies) has a picture and link. On the actors top page, I have a couple names, but no pictures and no links. Should this be working currently?

Hi Chilly,

it should work, at least ;-) I haven't worked on the tool for a long time now, but I will try to find the possible problems... If you get your movie infos, which scripts do you use?

And... do the actors have a picture in XMM?

Hi,

Yes, it took me some tries, but in XMM itself, my whole actors DB is working - 'movies in collection', actors pictures, etc. All seems to be organized correctly. I have been using the IMDB complete scripts. So when I export this, they will list the names correctly, but they are not linked to the 'movies in database' page - except Al Pacino is the only one in my whole database that works! It's not an Italian conspiracy is it! :)
