I cleared all my actors and am trying to see how it should work. So I just re-imported actors for a single move to try... ("88 Minutes") The html card shows the actors on the movie now. The mdb table only has those actors in it. And they all have pictures (on the movie card).
But when I select those actors, they do not show the movie listed under "Movies in database" - even though that's the movie they were just impoted through.
Any suggestions? Thanks |

I have been using the IMDB complete script. Strangely, I did a 're-import selected movies', and it now works for that movie.
I am very confused by the different import options: What is the difference between 'quick import', 'complete update', 'update wizard'?
Why do some movies say 'ready for batch import' while others say 'already updated from web', when all the movies have been imported from the web, and they have direct links and 'Last Script Used' populated. What does that mean?
Thanks |

Hi
I will try to explain:
Update Wizard is the "main" window for import info from internet. When you launch it you have to select the movie/tvshow/actors you want import, then you have to select the scripts and after that you are ready to import info.
Quick import is for import selected items in the main grid. is like use the Update Wizard, but you jump directly to select the script to use without select movies/tvshows/actors because XMM will select automatically
Complete Update. To explain this I have to explain first the concept behind MagicScript engine.
The import info from internet is divided in 2 phases Phase 1: you have to select the DirectLink, that is the link to the webpage of the movie (for example the webpage of the movie in imdb). Phase 2: Engine will extract all information from this webpage.
If you decide to import for example 20 movies.... you select directlinks of 19 of it and then you decide to stop because you have to go away, you can later launch the "complete update" to let XMM do only the "phase 2" without that you select again the Directlink.
I hope to be clear, my english is terrible,
Alessio

Thank's Alessio, This helps explain things...
The one thing that confused me on 'complete update', is that I had to cancel because my 'phase 2' updates were hanging and taking too long. When I restarted from movies that were tagged as 'ready for batch import'... those movies seemed to go through the phase 1 process again (although I didn't have to interact with them).
This helps clarify some though... thanks.
