the media field combo on the main tab is not opening.

Probably your database of Media Types is empty.

Please go in the Tools->manage lists->Edit Media

to see if there are values.

i checked the media list, it's not empty . it has 55 media types.

PS. this media list, tried to sort it by ID, and by value but it wont sort.
