I fully agree, Prinz. It was only a thought for those who don't speak english and wanna use the IMDB script (movie_bigcover_autotranslate). And better for those users to read bad translations than cannot understand a word. But it's not my decision if to use or not ;) |

I tested it a bit more. It doesn't even work in most of the cases, because it the google function results in javascript errors and nothing happens. |

Well, I have only tested it from my existing german plots to english. I have scrolled through about the first 50 movies in my db and I got no errors. Maybe it could depend on special chars?

The Problem is the length of the text, there is a limitation and that is almost always exceeded (many times) by scripts like imdb.com |

True, I think it's up to 500 words. And IMDB exceeds that limit so often? I wanna read the plot of a movie - and not the novel *rofl* For real: if the limit exceeds so many times then it would be a useless work to implement. |

Yes and the synopsis is also imported to that field, because there is no synopsis field in the Database yet. Which is of course a bit longer.

It's many times more than one, because the imdb.com the plot is user submitted. |

Hello Prinz,
Can you make the change in the BigCover-Simplified to load only one cover, one backcover, one fanart and one screenshot?
There are some users that have old PC and is too slow also this. This moviecard should be the more quick as possible. People with "normal" PC can use the others.
What do you think?
Thank you!

One Fanart is still on it. But there is a Problem with the functions_movie_bigcover.js because there aren't any additional fanarts anymore.
- Changed the functions_movie_bigcover.js to ignore if a card doesn't have additional fanart

Another suggestion for adding to Media section:
Maybe Ale can add it like the un/seen checkbox. |

Hello, Prinz,
I think there are some bugs in the movie_bigcover movie card. For one thing, although it shows the other covers and other fanart besides the ones at the top, you can't click on them to see them full screen. Also, shouldn't only the images that you have in the database show up and then nothing else instead of red x's? Maybe I'm wrong on this latest version.

That is the newest Card:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?cyjrrl0yl1kpzfe
If you see red X and can't click on the images the javascript isn't executed or there is an javascript error which stops the javascript execution.
Since you are the second one (the other one is in the German forum) that has problems regrading the javascript function, it's possible that one updates of XMM didn't have all new javascript files in it. That would explain your problems. |

I packed a archive with all current html cards, scripts and style sheets.
Replace them and restart XMM. Try if it's working after that. If it is working, Ale has forgotten to update something...
